LST EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management systems \u2014 Requirements with guidance for use (ISO 14001)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Global environmental challenges and increasingly stringent environmental protection requirements encourage organizations to implement environmental management systems. The LST EN ISO 14001 standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an organization\u2019s environmental management system.\n\nThe standard is based on the Plan\u2013Do\u2013Check\u2013Act methodology. Organizations are required to identify environmental aspects of their activities, products and services, evaluate their significance, and establish environmental policy and objectives. Organizations must also develop, implement and monitor programmes to achieve these objectives in order to ensure continuous environmental improvement.\n\nThe requirements of LST EN ISO 14001 apply only to significant environmental aspects that an organization can control or influence.\n\nThe standard is applicable to all organizations wishing to implement an environmental management system and ensure the implementation of environmental policy.\n\nA certified environmental management system represents more than compliance with standard requirements.
